If you run a blog, you know that appealing content with high quality pictures can work wonders. In some cases a picture can attract attention and encourage readers to share the content. However, you do not always need to use paid photos as you can find high-resolution free photos for your blog.

Dreamstime.com

One of the largest stock communities with over 28 million users. Their collection is expanded daily and they also occasionally launch various promotions for paid stock.
You will find almost all categories of images, and if you need free wedding photos or free Autumn photos this is the right place for you.

Everypixel.com

One of my favourite sources for free pictures for blogs. You will find free and paid images, and the free option is really impressive. Not all of the pictures are taken by professional photographers, but if you need free amateur photos you will also find them. The choice of pictures is really great in almost every category such as blogging, finance, pets (cats), travelling, meditation, women, family, and others.  What ‘s more, their images are not used widely, so you can surely use them for your blog or Pinterest and not be afraid of coming across blog posts or Pins from other bloggers with the same image.

Freepik.com

I mainly use them when I need high quality and free icons for infographics. Their collection of perfectly designed icons is impressive, and it’s very easy to find various icons, even icons that  have been created in one style. Your infographics will look professionally designed and aesthetically pleasing.

Barnimages.com

I do not remember how I found them, although you can read that they started barnimages in 2015. In barnimages you will find high-quality images that are not found in other stocks. Free pictures are added each week, and stand out from standard stock images. I personally used their pictures in many of my posts, and like their unique atmosphere.

Foodiesfeed.com

If you are a food blogger,  all you need is to discover foodiesfeed and you can finally halt your search. On this site food photographers from all over the world share their pictures that can be used under Creative Commons Zero (CC0)  license. The site was established by Jakub Kapusnak as a project for his personal use,  and gained popularity within a few months. The pictures have appeared in popular magazines and blogs, but the topic remains the same, food.

The best feminine stock for bloggers. Beautiful free pictures for bloggers who run blogs about beauty, food, lifestyle, online business, and family. The photo bundle is also available in many categories. You can browse the collection using a keyword search, by categories or by colour.

Free photos for blogs – are they really safe and free to use? Before using free photos from stocks or other sites you need to read their license. Some stocks allow free commercial and non-commercial use, while others give permission only for free personal use. You do not always need to credit a photographer (in most cases you will find the info before downloading an image) but I always mention or credit the photographer in my articles.
