What To Read: Best Business Books For Women, Marketing Books, and More

Books have always been an important part of my professional and personal development. One of my professional mentors taught me to never stop educating myself and learn new things every day. Nowadays, it seems people do not need to read books as access to the Internet is free and quick. More than that, it usually takes time for authors to write and publish their books. Being available in books shops, books might provide already outdated information. To some point I agree with this view, and prefer reading business-related blogs. However, in some cases books provide such value you will never find on the Internet. This list of books is not final, and will be updated on a regular basis.

Best books on business strategy

Almost every business strategy can be applied to small and medium businesses to some extent. Even more, some strategies can boost the social or online presence of bloggers or companies not considering strategies that were designed for corporations.

Blue Ocean Strategy by W. Chan Kim, Renée Mauborgne

Blue ocean and blue sky

Having been published in 2004 (!) by Harvard Business Review, this book helped me understand how to create my own place on the market, and it is one of the best books to  read that helped me improve my Pinterest account. (More in the post What Does Blue Ocean Strategy Mean?)

Blue Ocean Strategy is a must-read for every blogger and business owner to understand how to compete (and not compete) in markets, how to avoid severe price competition, how to widen business reach, and more. The book also contains many interesting facts from history demonstrating that vision, passion and perfect understanding of the market gap to create unlimited chances for businesses.

Best personal development books

You can be the best ever manager or company owner, however if you want to reach more, you will need to do what you have never done, you will need to be a person you have never been. The section below includes books that help you know what direction you will need to develop your personality.

I bought this book by Mark Manson because it has been recommended by so many people. I started to read it twice, and finally I finished it.  Many people wrote that the book helped them  and they liked The Subtle Art of Not Giving A F**ck . I am a little disappointed, but this is due to having read a few books of this kind, and I discovered nothing new. Although if you are starting to consider what is important in your life, this book will be the perfect read and give you a healthy view on your life.

Best marketing books for small business

In many cases, the size of a business is not the issue at all, as many ideas can be implemented by businesses of all sizes.
